Batley Bulldogs and Dewsbury Rams are to join in a reciprocal offer which will see Season Ticket holders admitted to each other’s Betfred Championship fixtures, for a reduced admission of £10, on production of the ticket.
The two clubs usually have home ties on different weekend or days and the offer will ensure those who don’t always travel to away fixtures have local Rugby League on their doorstep.
Bulldogs’ Chairman Kevin Nicholas told us “There is of course a fierce rivalry between the two clubs, but a friendly and healthy rivalry. Both need to prosper and working together is always a positive move.”
“A number of supporters visited rival fixtures last year, and the success of the K2 Yorkshire Cup shows the appetite for Rugby League in the area, A high number of “neutral” supporters attended the fixtures”
The offer comes on the back of previous deals offered independently by the clubs, with Batley’s successful offer to Super League clubs set to continue for 2019, also at £10.
“The Betfred Championship is a fantastic competition with high quality teams, and this season is set to be as competitive as ever.”
The Bulldogs open their campaign at home to Barrow Raiders this Sunday, 3rd February, while The Rams first home encounter sees York City Knights visit on February 10th.
The offer will apply for all Betfred Championship League fixtures, with the exceptions of those between the two clubs.
