Our Pink Weekend this year will take place around 20th August, the week before the Challenge Cup Final. This is the 20th season since Ron, Andy and myself took over at the Club and 120 years since Batley won the first Challenge Cup Final and we want to combine these two milestones with a one off fundraiser for our Pink Weekend.
We need 120 people to help us achieve this and from comments on high others do not think we can do that so I want us to show them otherwise. Can you help?
Saturday 26th August we need 120 people to partake in a 10k sponsored walk from London Broncos ground to Wembley for the Challenge Cup Final. To take part you need to pay £20 (child or adult) and agree to get a minimum of £20 sponsorship. For your £20 you will receive coach travel from Batley to London (day return) a match ticket for the Challenge Cup Final and a Pink T-Shirt so that is unbelievable value in any event.
We will all walk in Pink T-Shirts to reflect the cause. Some shirts will have a letter or number on the front. 120 people will sit together in the stadium and the Pink Shirts will spell out “Batley 10 St Helens 3, 1897 Final.
