Local lad and former Batley RLFC & Great Britain Star Carl Gibson is the latest club hero to have his name placed permanently at The Fox’s Biscuits Stadium. “Gibbo” played 145 times for the Mount Pleasant Club, scoring an incredible 86 Tries, and being selected for the GB Squad whilst still a part time Batley player. He went on to have an outstanding career with Leeds, and a spell at Featherstone, before returning to his home town club.
Last year Carl was amongst the first stars indecited to the Batley RLFC Hall of fame and now we have The Carl Gibson Entrance by the Glen Tomlinson Stand.
