Batley welcomed Sheffield Eagles to the Fox’s Biscuits Stadium in what was a fiery display from the hosts claiming a well earned 44 – 4 victory.

It was a rapid-fire performance by Diskin’s side as Dominic Brambani opened the scoring against his previous club, Sam Smeaton following on later after fluent passing from left to right. Dave Scott took on the kick role, converting both beautifully.

Louis Joufrett who recently penned a deal seeing him a Bulldog for next season, caused havoc for the opponents with his pin point kicks forcing an incredible amount of pressure against the visitors. Lewis Galbraith grabbed Batley’s third try of the afternoon after storming across the line. Scott managed to add the extras.

The second-half saw Johnny Campbell collect a stunning interception to run the full length leaving every player behind in the dust. Brad Day added more to what was becoming an impressive tally after collecting a brilliant Brambani kick to the corner. Scott converted one out of the two.

Speedster Johnny Campbell scored again thanks to some wild passing that set him up for a perfect dive in between the opponents defence. Scott couldn’t convert.
