RAMS CASH IN ON 'DOGS HANGOVER

With an air of inevitability, the Bulldogs came crashing back to earth with a bump on Sunday afternoon at the Tetley's Stadium, as Dewsbury recorded a convincing 36-16 win over their local rivals to boost their own survival chances and dampen Batley's hopes of a top six spot. Recalled winger Ian Preece (pictured) was one of the rare successes for the visitors on a miserable day, the highlight being his try-saving chase and tackle on Austin Buchanan.

Graduation Ceremony

Playing for Success Kirklees held a celebration event for cohorts of young people from the 5 study centres in Kirklees including Huddersfield Town F.C Learning Zone, Huddersfield Giants RLFC Study Centre, Batley Bulldogs Study Centre, Dewsbury Rams RLFC Study Centre and Topspin@Thongsbridge Tennis Club Study Centre.  Children graduated from the centres after attending for ten weeks and studying for 30 hours and achieved Asdan accreditation and Children's University accreditation.

SUMMER SCHOOL WITH THE DOGS

Summer Celebration at Batley Bulldogs RLFC. As a result of the Bulldogs winning the NORTHERN RAIL CUP the club will be holding a summer camp from Monday 2nd to Friday 6th Aug 2010. We are holding one week of Summer Celebration activities at the Rugby Club during the Summer holidays for children aged 8 to 12. Activities will include movie making, cup collages and posters, a player interview and many outdoor games to promote teamwork and confidence.  Children can be dropped off at 8:30am and collected at 2:00pm. Breakfast will be provided on arrival but children must bring their own packed lunch with a drink. This Summer Celebration programme is £40 for the whole week or £10 a day! (25 places - on a first-come, first-served basis) Book a place by contacting Paul Harrison on 07870851555 or Dan Winner on 07815063184.

THANK YOU FROM THE BOARD

The Board at Batley Bulldogs would just like to say a massive Thank you to all that went to Blackpool to cheer on our players last weekend. The players and coaches did a excellent job in bringing the Northern Rail Cup to Batley. As a thank you and to keep the feel good factor going we have reduced admission price for our game against Keighley on the 1st August to £10 adults, £5 concessions and £2 kids. The players will be available with the cup for pictures straight after that game. And to make the celebration even better all draft lager, bitter, cider will be £2 all day. Bring along your friends, family, work mates and lets fill Mount Pleasant and give the players another boost as we push for a top six place.
