Batley Bulldogs opened their Northern Rail Cup campaign with a highly-charged and controversial 30-30 draw with the Widnes Vikings. Batley Bulldogs today completed an unbeaten pre-season programme by beating Oldham 54-16 at the Mount. Scrum-half Gareth Moore was the star of the show, contributing 26 points to the Bulldogs' cause.
